For some reasons I received more cash gifts/gift vouchers than usual this Christmas. One gift is still in transit, and there is a gift outstanding (from my sister, she has been flat out at work and I said we can sort it out later). So the first half of this post is short and sweet.
The biggest gift I received was from Mr Curious (at my request). It was a professional photo session for the family. We had the photo session at Luna Park earlier this month and it was a lot of fun.
The photographer is Erin Byrne from Life Stories Photography. She did a shoot for us when TLG was a newborn and they were fantastic, so it was a no-brainer to ask her again.
Look at him go!
The great thing about Erin is that she gives us the high-res photos on a CD so we can print as many as we like for us and for our families.
Erin is expecting her first bub early next month, so here's wishing her a smooth delivery!
Mr Curious also surprised me with a maxi dress from Satch. It's the same design as this one but in orange.
It's not something I'll pick off the racks but I'm happy to be surprised. I haven't tried on the dress yet - will report back when I do.
Besides a gift voucher, my MIL bought me season 3 of Mad Men.
Ahhhh, Don Draper ...
The last gift, from my BIL, is also at my request. Behold the Cuisinart ice-cream maker!
There is a section in January 2011's Marie Claire with lots of delicious ice-cream recipes, so I'm keen to give them a try. You can look forward to some ice-cream making post :-)
After taking TLG to Balmoral for some beach action, I went to Chatswood Chase to check out the sales. TLG cooperated by sleeping in the stroller for 2 hours!
I tried on this top from Marcs and liked it, but I have another top in a similar colour, so I'm still thinking about it.
Scoop neck pleat sleeve tee (on sale, $39)
I was in the market for some nice flats and Sambag was the perfect place to go.
Ali Taupe Stingray Leather (on sale, $96)
Jessie Black Stud Detail Pump (on sale, $99)
I also liked the Tina Purple Giraffe Pony (on sale, $105) but the sizing was not right for me.
Trying shoes today reminded me about the risk of buying shoes online (the Ali and the Jessie I bought are in different sizes). Even though this pair of Miu Miu pumps are gorgeous, I can't bring myself to purchase it because shoe sizes are so unpredictable.
Miu Miu Bow patent-leather pumps (on sale, $US312, NAP)
TLG and I are heading to the city to have lunch with Mr Curious, so we'll see if I can use up a gift voucher or two at Pitt Street Mall tomorrow. Hopefully TLG will have another big sleep in the stroller!
